Review of the plot of the movie “Naruto Movie: The Will of Fire”

In the Naruto Shippuden Movie 3 trailer, the producers revealed to the viewers the possibility of the Fourth Great Ninja War erupting due to the mysterious disappearance of the bloodline limit ninjas in the Mist Village, Sand Village, Stone Village, and Cloud Village. Only the ninjas of the Fire Country were not affected, which raised suspicions from other nations towards the Leaf Village. They spread rumors that Konoha was preparing for a rebellion. The plot of the movie “Naruto Shippuden: The Will of Fire” revolves around Naruto’s journey to prove Konoha’s innocence and protect world peace.

The movie begins with Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Sai chasing the ninjas who captured the bloodline limit ninjas from the Mist Village, Sand Village, Stone Village, and Cloud Village. The only land that did not lose any bloodline limit ninjas was the Fire Country. Unfortunately, Kakashi’s team fails to capture the suspected ninjas, and Naruto and Sai get injured in the confrontation. Suddenly, the silhouette of a mysterious ninja appears in the sky in various lands, claiming to be Hiruko – a missing ninja from Konoha who has developed the Chimera Technique. Hiruko tells the people of the lands that Konoha is his next target. Subsequently, Tsunade is summoned by the Feudal Lord of the Fire Country to capture Hiruko and prove Konoha’s innocence. If they fail to do so, the Feudal Lord will have to destroy the village to protect world peace, as other nations are amassing troops at the Fire Country’s borders, posing a threat of invasion and triggering the Fourth Great Ninja War.

This situation reveals to the viewers that Hiruko’s target is Kakashi’s Sharingan. Hiruko had placed the Puppet Curse on Kakashi ten years ago, and it would be activated on a particular night. Kakashi requests Tsunade to release him so he can defeat Hiruko. Reluctantly, Tsunade agrees to Kakashi’s request. This means Kakashi has to be sealed with a special seal so that Kamui can automatically activate when Hiruko tries to absorb Kakashi to fulfill his plan. Afterward, Kakashi allows Hiruko to control him with the Puppet Curse and leaves the village.

Tsunade considers Kakashi a missing ninja and orders everyone in the village to stay away from him. During this time, Naruto recalls the bell training lesson that Kakashi taught Team 7 at the beginning of the movie, and he refuses to obey Tsunade’s orders. Eventually, Sakura and Naruto decide to follow Kakashi. The movie then showcases intense battles between Sakura, Naruto, Sai, and Hiruko’s group of mercenaries to rescue Kakashi and clear Konoha’s name.

The movie concludes with a humorous scene set on Mount Shumisen, where Kakashi reflects on Obito. He smiles at Naruto after noticing the similarities between the two. Naruto considers that smile to be something terrifying and suspects that Kakashi likes him. Kakashi hurriedly denies it, but Naruto becomes frightened and runs away from him. Kakashi then chases after Naruto to try to explain that it was a misunderstanding.
