Spoiler Jujutsu Kaisen 246: Sukuna Council – Higuruma Evaluated on Par with Gojo!

Summary of Jujutsu Kaisen 245:

The first half of chapter 245 features the confrontation between Hakari and Uraume. Uraume launches a fierce attack, instantly shattering one of Hakari’s arms. However, thanks to the Invincible Domain, he promptly recovers. Uraume disrupts water pipes, causing water to flow everywhere. In this “terrain,” he intends to deal with Hakari.

The remaining half of chapter 245 is Higuruma’s trial. Judgeman sentences Sukuna to death. Since the Ten Shadows Technique is no longer usable after Sukuna’s battle, the verdict is successfully declared, rendering the Deathblow Nullification ineffective. Is it a victory? No! Right after the Invincible Domain disappears, Sukuna unleashes a Deathblow, striking Higuruma.

Prediction for Jujutsu Kaisen 246: Higuruma miscalculated a step. Fans predicted correctly. The reason Sukuna is so confident is that he has seen Judgeman’s operations and knows that his Cursed Doll will be the perfect “stand-in.” Therefore, as soon as the domain vanishes, he attacks immediately.

The plan fails. The only choice for the sorcerers now is to collaborate to fight Sukuna. Since Yuji can withstand the Deathblow to some extent, he won’t hesitate to increase pressure with close combat. Meanwhile, the remaining sorcerers will attack from a distance (all three participating sorcerers have mid-range to long-range techniques). Higuruma will continue his battle with his sword – whether he can reach Sukuna remains to be seen.

The duel between Hakari and Uraume is also tense. With a lot of water around, Uraume’s technique will be much stronger. If they can’t kill Hakari, Uraume may seal him with the “sealing” ice. Is it time for Hakari’s “girlfriend” to join the fight?

Higuruma blames himself for lacking practical experience. Meanwhile, Kusakabe uses the Simple Domain defensively. Sukuna analyzes the situation, recognizing Yuji’s increased strength. The Simple Domain has also somewhat reduced the damage from Sukuna’s techniques.

Regarding Kusakabe, he realizes that Sukuna’s slashes are not the “world-cutting” kind. Sukuna also doesn’t use fire as in Shibuya. Why? Well, there’s no time to think. Let’s assume Sukuna can’t use them. Higuruma apologizes, stating that Judgeman can only strip away the strength of his Cursed Doll. Kusakabe thinks that’s fine; Higuruma can still finish off Sukuna with his sword. Kusakabe will protect him, even if he has to sacrifice himself.

Choso enters the scene. He plans to use Blood Manipulation for long-range attacks, but Sukuna notices and immediately closes in. His two arms pierce Choso’s body, and then he throws Choso towards Yuji.

Ino also attacks. Using his technique, he employs Nanami’s Cursed Technique. Wielding Nanami’s knife, Ino strikes. Sukuna praises this attack, as it is powerful, and kicks Ino away.

Without hesitation, Kusakabe and Yuji approach for close-range attacks. Higuruma also swings his sword. Despite being more visible, the sorcerers still can’t pose a challenge to Sukuna. With four arms, he grabs Higuruma and punches him in the face.

Sukuna throws Higuruma somewhere else and rushes for a 1v1. Yuji follows, but Sukuna is much faster. Higuruma prepares to “receive” Sukuna. A short flashback occurs with the sorcerers discussing Yuji’s request: he wants to save Megumi. They all agree that Higuruma’s technique will assist in that plan. Anyone struck by the sword will certainly die, but only those with a death sentence will die. In Sukuna’s case, if he’s killed, Megumi will still live.

Of course, this will be a challenging task for Higuruma. However, he believes he should fulfill the mission and sacrifice when necessary.

Back to the present, despite being heavily injured, Higuruma holds his ground. Sukuna recognizes that he amplified the domain to minimize damage. Higuruma has only had his technique for about two months, so his abnormal development impresses Sukuna, especially with Higuruma’s sword that can kill anyone. Sukuna evaluates Higuruma as similar to Gojo – a precious gem full of talent. The chapter concludes here.  There will be a break next week.
